Terms of Service

Effective October 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and fabra for the MC Status Discord bot and this website. Discord is not a party to this agreement and does not sponsor or endorse MC Status.

Age and Discord’s rules

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law in your country or Discord’s Terms of Service require it. By inviting the bot or using its commands, you agree to these terms and to Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms of Service, and Developer Policy. If those Discord terms and these terms conflict, Discord’s terms control for anything about Discord’s services.

The service

MC Status monitors public Minecraft Java and Bedrock servers and posts or updates status in Discord servers where the bot is invited. Commands do not query Minecraft themselves. The service is provided as-is, without a guaranteed uptime, poll interval, or continued availability.

Permission

The bot only joins a Discord server after someone with permission completes Discord’s invite flow. Configure commands require Manage Server. The bot does not change Discord accounts, send marketing, or contact people off Discord using API data.

Plans and licenses

• Free, premium, and admin plans limit how many Minecraft servers a Discord server can watch and how often they are polled.
• Premium and admin access is granted by operator-issued license keys. Keys may expire on a date or be revoked. This application does not sell paid Discord features off Discord.
• If paid features are offered later in a region where Discord requires Premium Apps, those features will be available through Discord’s Premium Apps products at a price no higher than any other payment option Discord’s policy covers.
• When a plan is reduced, extra monitors may be paused and poll intervals may be raised.

Acceptable use

• Only add Minecraft servers you are allowed to monitor.
• Do not use the bot to scan private networks, abuse rate limits, spam Discord channels, harass anyone, or break Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Do not attempt to bypass plan limits or interfere with the bot, its database, or other users.
• Do not use the bot if you are under the required age.

Reports

To report abuse, a safety issue, a privacy problem, or another violation involving this bot, use /privacy report in Discord or the report form on this website. The operator reviews those reports.

Your Discord server

You must have permission to add the bot and to create or edit messages in the channels you choose for live status. You are responsible for how the bot is used in your Discord server.

No warranty

Minecraft server status can be wrong, delayed, or incomplete. Offline is a normal result. We are not responsible for downtime, missed alerts, lost messages, or decisions made from status data.

Termination and deletion

You can remove the bot at any time. Removing it, or using /privacy delete with Manage Server, deletes that Discord server’s stored data. We can stop the service or remove a Discord server’s access if these terms are broken or if we shut the project down. If the service stops, remaining stored Discord API data is deleted.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
